Long Beach

For the sixth round, the Formula E Championship will be returning to the sun-soaked streets of Long Beach, California. 

The Long Beach ePrix marks the half way point in the 2015-2016 Formula E Championship and will consist of a modified configuration of the iconic IndyCar street circuit. The clockwise circuit is 1.6 miles (2.1km) in length and features seven turns.

Long Beach is bicycle-friendly urban city in the US and has a fantastic network of bike paths, including the 5km Shoreline Pedestrian Bikepath that runs along the coast.

Long Beach’s Aquarium of the Pacific welcomes 1.5 million visitors a year and focuses on spreading environmental conservation messages. It has a collection of over 12,500 animals representing over 550 different species. You can even pet a shark! 

Don’t forget the sun cream – Long Beach gets around 345 days of sunshine each year.

The world’s largest mural (the Whaling Wall) was painted on the Long Beach Arena in 1993, it took four weeks and 3,000 gallons of paint to complete.
