Round 2/10

Round 2: Malaysia

Putrajaya is the home of the federal government in Malaysia and lies 25km south of capital city Kuala Lumpur. It is acknowledged as Malaysia’s first intelligent cyber garden city.

The clockwise track is 2.56km long, with 12 turns. The fastest lap was timed at 1:21.779 last season.

Did you know?

Why Putrajaya? In Malay 'jaya' translates as 'success'. And did you know 70% of the city is covered by trees and grass?  It truly is a Garden City!

Feeling hungry? Then make sure you check out the world-famous Satay whilst you're in Putrajaya. The Hainan Chicken Rice is pretty special too!

In Putrajaya there are nine bridges to enable crossing of the vast lake, and five parks, making it a truly ecological location.

Rose-tinted sunglasses? No, the Masjid Putra, one of the most famous landmarks in Putrajaya really is pink, thanks to the rose granite it was built from.

The Putrajaya ePrix started at the earlier time than usual of 2pm. It's the rainy season in Malaysia so the new start time gives race organisers flexibility for ensuring the safe running of the race as the rain can come down at any time!
